2011 Special Report: Housing - The Long, Long Road to Recovery
A six page report which takes a closer look at the current state of housing (both rental and for sale). While the resort and second home market is seeing a slow improvement in sales activity, prices have dropped to pre-2007 values. The damage and recovery in the local housing market is far more serious with the loss of over 6,000 jobs in the past two years and few prospects of seeing those jobs replaced.
Eagle County Economic Development Plan (2011)
Developed as part of Governor John Hickenlooper's 2011 statewide "bottom up" economic development initiative, this report defines the "Three Pillars" of the future economic development initiatives: Recreation and Tourism; Health and Wellness; and Learning and Education. The 21 page report was developed with broad community input over a five month period.
